Pelican River Outlet Suspended Solids (TSS) TSS is a measure of suspended particles in water. These particles can be soil from erosion and/or algae. High TSS corresponds with low water transparency and clarity. The Pelican River Outlet TSS concentration ranges from 1-6 mg/L, which is relatively low compared with Spring Creek ( 1 to 17 mg/L ). The low concentrations make sense since this water is coming from Fish Lake. Due to the historically low TSS concentrations, this test was dropped from analysis in 2007.
