Chapter 8: Impacting Streams and Rivers

8.3 Spring Creek

Spring Creek is sampled at the Cormorant Lake outlet, Ida Lake outlet, Culvert at 15823 Sherbrooke, and the Inlet. The Cormorant and Ida outlets are recent man-made dams. The dams are used to control the water level of the lakes. This has introduced new water into spring creek. Sampling at the Sherbrooke culvert did not begin until 8/28/2002. Most of the stream is encompassed by wetlands.
