Annual Meeting Rules

                                      

 

1.  Robert's Rules of Order, Revised shall govern

2.  A ruling by the Chairman can be over-ridden by a majority vote of the body.  A challenge to a ruling by the chair must be moved, seconded, discussed and voted upon.  It may not be tabled.

3.  The Agenda, once approved, may only be modified by a vote of the body, a simple majority being required to modify.

4.  The Rules, once approved, may only be modified by a vote of the body, a simple majority being required to modify.

5.  Once the final report of the Election Board is made, no further modification can be made to the list of qualified voters unless approved by a 2/3 majority of the body present and voting.

6.  Balloting shall proceed as follows:  A single ballot shall be taken.   The top 3 eligible vote getters shall then become PGOLID Board members for 3-year terms.  In the case of any ties, a coin shall be flipped to determine the winner(s).

7.  Nominee speeches shall be limited to no more than 90 seconds.

8.  Budget Presentations shall be limited to no more than 5 minutes, exclusive of any discussion, which shall ensue.

9.  Elections to confirm, retain, or remove directors shall be by secret ballot.

10. Voting on the budget shall be by voice vote unless moved, seconded and approved for another method.
